How To Save Friend's WhatsApp Image/Video Status To Gallery

WhatsApp has been amazing over 1 billion of its users with tremendous updates of late and the recent one was the ability for us to to be able to upload images and 10 seconds videos as statuses, so today Iwill be sharing with you a brief tutorial on how to save whatsapp image and video statuses.

Most times when people update their status with images or even short videos we like and we view and watch those images, we tend to like them and often times wish we can save them directly to our devices, anyway today I will be showing you guys how to do just that.

How to save WhatsApp image and video statuses

Just so you know, before we begin, I want you to know that WhatsApp image and video statuses that are viewed gets automatically deleted after 24hrs.

• Go to your file manager, Open it and press option key >> settings>> then check "view hidden files" but on other devices running android 6.0 all you have to do is click the eye symbol below and check on "view hidden files".
• Go back to your file manager, locate WhatsApp folder and open it, then open the "media folder".
• Once opened, the first folder you should see is named ".statuses" that folder contains all the image and video statuses you have viewed over the past 24hrs. 
• To save the viewed WhatsApp image and video statuses, all you have to do is rename the ".statuses" to "statuses" open the folder and move the images and videos to any folder of your choice, after which you rename the "statuses" folder back to ".statuses".
